The annual BOARD OF REVIEW will be held on Tuesday, June 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall.
OPEN BOOK
The City of Osseo will hold it’s annual Open Book on Thursday, May 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall.
2018 Dog License
The City of Osseo Code of Ordinances, Section 7-1, states that “It shall be unlawful for any person in the City of Osseo to own, harbor or keep any dog more than five (5) months of age as of January 1 of any year, or five (5) months of age within the license year without paying a license fee and obtaining a dog license”. State Law Section 174.05 through 174.10, Wisconsin Statutes also requires that a Rabies Vaccination be required for each license. A late fee of $5.00 will be added to each license purchased after March 31st of each year.
Licenses can be purchased at City Hall providing all proper documentation and appropriate fees are received. All delinquent dog owners are turned over to the Trempealeau County District Attorney’s office by September each year.
SPRING ELECTION
The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and will close at 8:00 p.m. To view your ballots, go to www.myvote.wi.gov.
City Brush Site
The City Brush Disposal & Yard Waste Site, located at the southeast corner of 16th and West Streets, will be open on Tuesday, April 3rd. Weather permitting, the site will remain open on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons from 2:30 – 6:30 p.m. for the remainder of the season. A permit is required to use the site and they can be obtained at City Hall free of charge. **ONLY MATERIALS FROM PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY WILL BE ACCEPTED.
FLUSHING HYDRANTS
Flushing Water Mains – Valve Operation
The City of Osseo will be exercising valves, flushing
water mains and testing fire hydrants periodically
throughout the months of April, May, and June.
Residents may notice mineral particles in
their water which can affect laundry operations.
If mineral particles are detected, cold water should
be run to clear out household water lines.
