Flushing Water Mains – Valve Operation
The City of Osseo will be exercising valves, flushing
water mains and testing fire hydrants periodically
throughout the months of April, May, and June.
Residents may notice mineral particles in
their water which can affect laundry operations.
If mineral particles are detected, cold water should
be run to clear out household water lines.
SEC. 6-2-7 CITY OF OSSEO CODE OF ORDINANCES
The owner, occupant or person in charge of any parcel or lot which fronts upon or abuts any sidewalk shall keep said sidewalk cleared of all snow and ice. In the event of snow accumulating on said sidewalk due to natural means and/or by any other means, shall be cleared of all accumulated snow and/or ice within twenty-four (24) hours from the time the snow ceases to accumulate on said sidewalk. Sidewalks are to be kept clear of snow and ice to a minimum of four (4) feet in width. In the event that ice has formed on any sidewalk in such a manner that it cannot be removed, the owner, occupant or person in charge of the parcel or lot which fronts upon or adjoins said sidewalk shall keep the sidewalk sprinkled with material to accelerate melting or prevent slipping.
The City of Osseo will be picking up Christmas trees randomly over the next few weeks. If you wish to get rid of yours, place it by the curb and the city workers will pick them up as time permits.

HELP WANTED
The City of Osseo and the Town of Sumner are seeking a recycling facility operator. This would require working for the City part of Monday, Tuesday morning, and Thursday afternoon, approximately 8-9 hours per week. Also, work for the town of Sumner on Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM to carry out the same recycling facility operator functions. This position and hours could possibly be filled by one or two people.
